So I tidied up some code and worked out a few kinks today. I also started the next power-up: Cheep Cheep Mario. Guess what he'll be doing, lol.

So today I got rid of the Porcupine Power up. I gave Bat Mario a Spin jump which can destroy SMW style blocks. I also added the "Bullet Nut" power up. This turns Mario into Bullet Bill Mario. In this mode he can, well, turn into a Bullet Bill. When in this mode, he is invincible. I've thought about making the momentum prevent you from having much control when you come out of bullet form, but I had some people seem discouraged by this. I need to make sure this is a balanced power up though. If you think it's a good idea to have either some or all control loss after losing bullet form until you touch ground again, lemme know.

Here's a video to show it off. Note, you cannot turn into bullet bill twice in the same jump/fall. You can only turn into bullet bill when you're not on the ground. Enjoy!

So I decided to run this development blog for Mario Adventure 2. The main purpose of this is to easily and quickly maintain development status and get ideas and feedback on the hack during development. I want to make Mario Adventure 2 twice as good as Mario Adventure was.

I'll start this post with the basic premise of Mario Adventure 2:

Many of the distinct features of the first Mario Adventure will return with improvements including:
Day/Night system (no weather system)
Expanded key-searching
Improved item Shop
All brand new worlds and levels

Among these I will be including many brand new features including:
Brand New Power ups including Ice Mario and Bat Mario
SWM style spin blocks
New enemies

I will post pictures, videos and hope to receive feed back over the development of this hack.
